If you’re looking for a simple business model, then you should consider selling clothes on Facebook Marketplace. This is because, clothes will always be in style (get it? ), and finding clothes to sell isn’t too difficult.
You can literally pull this off successfully if you have some free time, you are willing to learn, put in the work and have an eye for good fashion items.
In this article, I will be sharing how you can sell clothing items on Facebook effectively. Firstly, I will explain what a Facebook Marketplace is.
Facebook Marketplace
You can sell practically anything on Facebook through the Facebook Marketplace, buy and sell groups or on a page. You may also be able to offer delivery, depending on where you live.
It is a platform that you can use to set up a shop on Facebook. You can learn more about how to set up a shop in the Facebook Business Help Centre.
Whether you are a sole proprietor or an intern for a fashion showroom, Facebook Marketplace can help you:
- Display the availability of retail goods, clothes, new fashion lines, and tickets for fashion shows.
- Even if your company doesn’t directly publish on Marketplace, you may advertise your shop or products there to attract a wider audience.
- Customers may purchase new or used things from your Facebook Page and shop on Facebook Marketplace for free without ever leaving Facebook (limited to eligible sellers). Note that only qualified merchants having shops with checkout are eligible to use this service. To add Marketplace as a sales channel for your business, find out more.
- Create a store on your company page and conduct business on the marketplace. Note: Only approved vendors and goods are permitted to use this feature.
Using Facebook Marketplace ads to sell clothes on Facebook
When you create an advertisement in Meta Ads Manager, you can choose to have it shown on the marketplace to reach a larger audience. Six new marketing goals—awareness, traffic, engagement, leads, app promotion, and sales—are being gradually introduced to Facebook ads for the Facebook marketplace.
Here is how you can make an advertisement on Facebook Marketplace:
- Enter Ads Manager and select your goal. Click Continue after that.
- When you construct your ad package, you will now have access to some of our older objectives as a feature or optimization parameter.
- Select awareness, traffic, engagement, leads, or sales if there are six objectives listed when you create a new advertisement.
- Choose brand awareness, reach, traffic, video views, lead generation, event replies, messages, conversions, catalogue sales, or shop visits if there are more than six objectives listed when you create a new ad.
- Depending on your aim, choose other variables like your conversion location or your optimization target.
- Choose ad recall lift, reach, impressions, ThruPlay, or two-second continuous video views as your ad delivery optimization if you picked the awareness target.
- If you selected the engagement objective, choose Event replies or Video views for your engagement type and On your ad for your conversion place. Messaging applications are another option for your converting location.
- Choose the website or messaging applications as your conversion place if you picked the sales aim.
- Determine your targeting and your audience.
- Select between Manual or Advantage+ placements.
- Placements with Advantage+ are advised. Keep in mind that Marketplace cannot be used as a single ad placement if you select Manual placements, and your ad campaign must include Feed.
- Establish a budget and a schedule. When you’re finished, click Next.
- the innovative format for your advertisement.
- Similar to Feed, the recommended video and picture specifications. Remember that you cannot trim or upload original material for advertisements in the Marketplace.
- Click Publish after you have completed putting up your advertisement.
- When users browse Marketplace on the Facebook app on their phone after we evaluate and approve your ad, they will be able to see it.
Even if you also sell shoes, handbags, accessories, and other clothing-related products. Then you can also have both a Facebook shop and an internet store even if you don’t use Facebook. You should therefore first make an account and then follow the instructions in this article. You can also read other posts on this blog about selling fashion items on Facebook here.
